A MUNICIPAL ORDER DIRECTING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE
ANY LEGAL ACTION NECESSARY TO CLEAR TITLE- OF ALL PROPERTIES OWNED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH IN THE BARKLEY PARK AREA
WHEREAS, MRJ &-B .Corporation is desirous of constructing a hotel -con-
vention center in an -area known as Barkley Park, within the City of Paducah, Ken-
tucky, and
WHEREAS, upon examination of the -City -'s title to said park, questions.
have arisen as to the City's title to certain sections .of Barkley Park, and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City to have -these
questions cleared by a Court of competent jurisdiction.
NOW, THE,REFORE,BE IT ORDERED. BY- THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION, I.._ That the Corporation Counsel is hereby. instructed to file
suit in the McCracken Circuit Court, asking for a clarification of title on .all parcels
of land located within Barkley Park which the Corporation- Counsel• feels may not
have a marketable title.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be effective upon approval by a majority
of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
