A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
TWENTY-YEAR (20)... CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY
ON BEHALF OF THE, ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF .THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
D/B/A PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING WHOLESALE
POWER
SECTION 1. The. present. contract of the Electric Plant Board of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, d/b/a Paducah Power System, with the Tennessee Valley Authority,
expires at midnight, September 13., 1980..
SECTION 2. The Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
d/b/a Paducah Power System, desires to renew said contract for an additional period
of twenty (20) years, beginning September 14, -1980,-for the purpose of purchasing
wholesale power for distribution.
SECTION
3.
This
Order authorizes and directs the Mayor of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky,
to
enter
into an agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority
on behalf of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, d/b/a Paducah
Power System, to renew and revise said contract, effective September 14, 1980, for
a period of twenty (20) years. .
SECTION 4. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after.
the date of its adoption.
