A, MUNICIPAL ORDER_TWUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR .PROPOSALS TO
SUPPLY AND INSTALL PROPANE CONVERSION KITS FOR 24 -CITY OWNED VEHICLES.. AND.TO.SUPPLY
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,.K=CKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for proposals to supply and install propane conversion kits for. 24 City
owned vehicles, and to supply the City's requirement of propane for three (3) years..
SECTION 2. The City Manager.shall advertise for proposals by inserting._
notice of the request for proposals in the Paducah Sun to be published as required by
law. All proposals shall be sealed and no proposal shall be received after the hour
fixed in the notice for opening of same. All proposals received by the.City Manager
up to the time fixed for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let a contract based on the lowest evaluated responsive bid
from a responsible bidder. The Board of Con-nissioners .reserve the right to reject_
any and all bids and. the City shall not become legally_ obligated to purchase said
conversion kits and propane until the final adoption of an authorizing ordinance and
the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. The request for proposals are to.be submitted under the
guidelines for competitive negotiations.as set forth in the provisions of Chapter 26
of the Code of Ordinances of.the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.
