MUNICIPAL ORDER NO.89.
A MUNICIPAL ORDER RECITING THE NEED FOR ACQUIRING A ONE-THIRD INTEREST IN A
CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND BELONGING TO LOUISE BAKER, A WIDOW, TO BE USED FOR THE
COMPLETION OF THE INTERIM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND PROVIDING FOR AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF SAME
WHEREAS, a one-third interest in a parcel of real estate is owned of record
by Louise Baker, and is necessary for the completion of the Interim Community
Development Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency, by resolution
dated March 2, 1982, requested institution of Condemnation proceedings in its behalf,
and
WHEREAS, it does not appear that a purchase agreement can be reached at
this time with the owners -of the subject property, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does
therefore agree with the request of the Urban Renewal and Community Development
Agency of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, that it'will be necessary to institute
condemnation proceedings pursuant to Kentucky Revised Statutes to acquire title to
this property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Assistant Corporation Counsel be, and he is hereby,
ordered and directed to institute condemnation proceedings in McCracken Circuit Court
against Louise Baker,, and any and all other parties in interest to acquire all of the
right, title and interest in the subject property owned by the aforementioned.

SECTION 2. That the parcel to be taken is more particularly described as
Being a part of Block 33 in what is known as Addition "F", of
Harris, Flournoy, Trimble and Norton's Addition to the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, and beginning at a point on the northeasterly
side of North 12th Street 184 feet 2 inches from the intersection
of North 12th and Burnett Streets; thence with the northeasterly
line of North 12th Street and towards Trimble Street (now Park
Avenue) 23 feet to a stake; thence in a northeasterly direction
and towards Eleventh Street 173 feet (erroneously stated as 175
feet) 3 inches to the line of an alley; thence in a northwesterly
direction and towards Burnett Street 23 feet to a stake in the
line of said alley; thence in a southwesterly direction and
parallel with Burnett Street 173 feet 3 inches to the point of
beginning on North 12th Street.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.
