HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 091MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 91 WHEREAS, the first half of 1981-82 tax bills were prepared from a list at the property valuation administrator's office of McCracken County, and WHEREAS, the mailing address of certain tax payers was changed by the property valuation administrator's office, and WHEREAS, due to the change of address the taxpayer did not receive his tax bill until after the due date on said tax bills,,and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to absolve the property owners whose tax bills were mis-mailed, from penalty and interest accruing January 31, 1982, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,.AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized and instructed to waive penalty and interest paid after January 31, 1982 and prior to March 31, 1982 that were due and payable on January 31, 1982, that meet the following conditions: 1. The mailing address on said tax bill must have been changed by the property valuation administrator's office from the mailing address on the.1980-81 tax bill without the property owner's knowledge and/or consent. 2. Said tax bill must be paid prior to March 31, 1982. 3. The City Treasurer finds that the tax payer did not receive. the tax bill prior to January 31, 1982. SECTION 2. This municipal order shall be in full force and effect' immediately upon its adoption according to law. John K.
