HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 149MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 149 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING -THE CITY TO CONTINUE INSURANCE -ON - FURLOUGHED EMPLOYEES. THROUGH JULY 31, 1983 WHEREAS., the City of Paducah provides medical, life and --other in- surances for employees of the City of Paducah, -and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to furlough certain employees from their regular employment with the City of Paducah, and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of Commissioners to continue insurance benefits, for a limited time, to employees who may be furloughed from their regular employment with the City of Paducah. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. All employees furloughed from employment with the City of Paducah, effective on or about May 18, 1983, will have their hospitalization insurance and life insurance premiums paid by the City of Paducah through the premium due before July 31, 1983. SECTION 2. Any employee who presently contributes toward an insurance plan, payable through the City of Paducah and deducted as a employee deduction from his payroll, may continue such plan provided that all premiums are paid through the City Treasurer's office on or before the due date of said premiums. This right will continue through any premium due on or before July 30, 1983. SECTION 3. The City Manager and City Treasurer are her authorized to do all things necessary to carry out the intent of this order. SECTION 4. This Order shall be effective immediately upon adoption! according to law. JOHN K.
