MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 161
A MUNICIPAL ORDER REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
ONE GIANT VACUUM, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH .PURCHASE SHALL BE
MADE
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
-SECT-ION-1.—That-the City Manager be authorized to advertise for 'bid for
the purchase of one..,.Gian.t,.Vacuum to be.;used by the..Parks..and Cemetery Departments,
and having the following specifications:.
One (1) Giant 'Vacuum, Model 121-C, or equivalent, P.T.O. driven
double headed blower for tractor mounting. This unit should
have a right angle gear box, three-point hitch bracket and tele-
scopic drive shaft. The impeller should he at least.. -25 -inches
in diameter with four blades having 1/2 -inch thick steel. The
band of the blower housing is to be at least 1/4 -inch thick
steel. The exhaust housing should be able to blow in either a
left or right-hand direction and should be supported by a
three-point hitch, as well as by two 10 -inch swivel pneumatic
wheels.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by inserting notice
of the request for bids in The Paducah Sun to be published as required by law. All
bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice
for opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed for
opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a con-
tract to the best responsible bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve
the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated
to purchase said vacuum until the final adoption of an authorizing ordinance and the
execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
