HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 232404 MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 232 8 A MUNICIPAL ORDER DEFINING THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT FOR ELIGIBILITY OF INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS WHEREAS, Section 1, sub -section 14 of HB 493 (1982 Legislative Session) states that "Any activity including new construction designated for revitalization or redevelopment of downtown business district asdesignatedby the issuer" are eligible for industrial revenue bond—financing,--and - WHEREAS, it -is the intent of :the City of Paducah to define the downtown— business owntown—business district as permitted by HB 493. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah hereby defines the downtown business district for eligibility of 2ndustrial 'r'evenu'e bond financing to include the entire corporate limits of the City of Paducah. SECTION- 2. ''This -municipal- order defines ` the area "in `which -activity will be considered downtown business district but does not approve any 'specific project for financing under the industrial revenue bond program. SECTION 3. This order shall become effective immediately upon passage as provided by law.
