A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPOINTING ALLIE MORGAN AS THE McCRACKEN COUNTY AND CITY OF PADUCAH

COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE E911 -SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ARRANGE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and McCracken County are undertaking the establishment
of a modern state of the art City -County enhanced 911 system; and
WHEREAS, the City has been designated the responsibility for the implementation of
the E911 service, the installation of the facilities, and the acquisition of the communications
equipment; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and the Board of Commissioners to be in
the best interest of the City and the community to have qualified technical expertise in the
acquisition of the communications equipment and the installation of the E911 facilities; and
WHEREAS; itnhas been.rfurther.determined that-:A1rlie6M6rgan has -demonstrated to the
satisfaction -of both'_the City! -,df `_Paduc&h,_and McCraoken20ounty-that he=has'�the technical!-��'
expertise needed to assist in the establishment of the local E911 system.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Allie Morgan is hereby appointed the McCracken County and City of
Paducah Communications Consultant for the E911 operation in the City of Paducah and McCracken
County, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. Allie Morgan's duties as the Communications Consultant shall be in
addition to and separate and apart from his duties as CATV Consultant for the City and and
Paducah Cable Communications Authority. However, no additional base salary or retainer shall
be paid, but appropriate compensation shall be paid for any work performed in connection with
E911 and other Communication Consultant services.
SECTION 3. The duties and responsibilities of the Communications Consultant shall
include the review and evaluation of all technical plans and equipment acquisitions and
installations.
SECTION 4. The City Manager shall be authorized and directed to make the
arrangements necessary in the implementation of the appointment of Allie Morgan and the
direction of the communication consultant services to be provided.
SECTION 5. This order shall not be effective until a similar document is approved or
adopted by the McCracken County Fiscal Court.
