MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 489
A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, TO MAKE PRE -APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL
\ GOVERNMENT FOR ASSISTANCE UNDER THE LAND AND WATER
CONSERVATION FUND ACT OF 1965 FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
RECREATIONAL RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, proposes
to develop recreational resources to provide for the health
and well-being of the general public; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah intends to make
pre -application to the Department of Local Government for
assistance under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of
1965; and
WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund is
limited to funding a maximum of fifty percent (500) of
proposed project costs not to exceed $40,000.00.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby agrees to
hold in reserve $55,000.00 to assure the completion of the
proposed project to renovate tennis courts and to install
wells for water quality control in Noble Park, said project
estimated to cost $75,000.00.
SECTION 2. In the event a grant is awarded, the
City of Paducah will sign assurance to comply with all
applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations,
especially Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and Section 504
of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
