A MUNICIPAL ORDER GRANTING PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL
BANK AND TRUST COMPANY PERMISSION TO DEMOLISH BUILDINGS
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners on October 25,
1988, adopted Ordinance No. 88-10-4146, setting forth the
conditions upon which the Board of Commissioners could grant
relief from the 90 -day moratorium prohibiting the demolition
of buildings; and
WHEREAS, Peoples First National Bank has requested
permission for the demolition of four structures for the
development of parking areas in conjunction with the renova-
tion of the "Paducah Dry Goods Building" as part of the
Peoples First National Bank's operations center; and
WHEREAS, Peoples First National Bank has requested
permission for the demolition of the structures located at
116-118 South Fourth Street, 120 South Fourth Street, 315
Kentucky Avenue, and 317-319 Kentucky Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners finds that QJ
Peoples First National bank has filed a developmental plan,
and the demolition of the buildings is an integral part of
these plans; a 90 day delay will impede the development of
the parking areas needed as an integral part of th Peoples
First National Bank's operation center; and the buildings
proposed to be demolished are not historically significant
to the City of Paducah.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Peoples First National Bank and Trust
Company, having met all the requirements of Ordinance No.
88-10-4146, is hereby given permission for the demolition of
the structures located at 116-118 South Fourth Street, 120
South Fourth Street, 315 Kentucky Avenue, and 317-319
Kentucky Avenue.
ECTION 2. The Building Inspector is authorized
to issue a demolition permit to Peoples First National Bank
and Trust Company for demolition of the structures at 116-
118 South Fourth Street, 120 South Fourth Street, 315 Ken-
tucky Avenue., and 317-319 Kentucky Avenue.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be effective upon
adoption, according to law.
