MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 427
� A MUNICIPAL ORDER WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT OF THE MANUAL OF
RULES AND PROCEDURES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR
WRITTEN POLICE CANDIDATE EXAMINATION
WHEREAS, Revision I of the Manual of Rules and Procedures for
the Police Department of the City of Paducah dated September 25, 1986,
provides that written examinations for Police Candidates shall be given
the first Saturday in April, 1988, and
WHEREAS, the present police candidates roster was established
on October 18, 1986, and is no longer a viable roster; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of Commissioners to
vacate the existing roster and create a new roster at this time so that
candidates can be selected before deadlines set for registration of the
police training at Eastern Kentucky University.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the roster of police candidates established
October 18, 1986, is hereby vacated in its entirety.

SECTION 2. The Chief of Police is ordered to proceed with
examination and qualifications of Police Department candidates under
the procedures set forth in the Manual of Rules and Procedures for the
Police Department, with the exception of the dates for examinations.
Examinations shall be held at such a time as the Chief of Police may
determine it is necessary for the hiring procedures to be completed and
candidates can be scheduled for training at Eastern Kentucky
University.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be effective from and after the
date of its adoption.
