MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 538
A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
STATE ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE KENTUCKY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM, DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT,
COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the Paducah City Commission endeavors to
support all efforts to improve the economic base of Paducah
and McCracken County through the creation of new jobs; and
WHEREAS, the Paducah City Commission encourages
paper recycling as a means to extend the life of the
city -county landfill; and
WHEREAS, the Purchase Area Recycling Corporation
and the West Kentucky Easter Seal Center propose to start a
paper recycling program.
SECTION 1. The application dated September 18,
1989, to the Kentucky Community Development Block Grant
Program, Department of Local Government, Commonwealth of
Kentucky, requesting $104,000.00 in state funds for a paper
recycling program, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Paducah is
hereby authorized to execute the aforesaid application and
to file same with the Department of Local Government of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky. Said application is attached
hereto and made a part hereof as if set forth in full
herein.
SECTION 3. This Order shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
