MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 572
A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR ADMINISTRATION OF
SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY OF
PADUCAH AND McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS the City of Paducah has been functioning
through its Community Development Agency (PHA) to administer
Section 8 Existing Rental Assistance Program in the City of
Paducah and McCracken County geographical areas; and
WHEREAS, the Attorney General of Kentucky has
issued a series of opinions which have placed a limiting
effect on the jurisdictional guidelinesas set forth by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development of the United
States of America; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to enlarge the
jurisdiction of the City of Paducah in administering the
above-mentioned Section 8 Program to include housing units
in McCracken County, Kentucky.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute an
Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for administration of
Section 8 Existing Housing Program between the City of
Paducah and McCracken County, Kentucky. This Agreement is
attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully
set out herein.
SECTION 2. This order will be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
