A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A
~ PROPOSAL FOR SITE SELECTION OF A CHILD CARE CENTER BY THE
COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF
LAND AND TRANSFER OF SAID LAND TO THE PADUCAH DAY NURSERY,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING
TO SAME
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky has issued a ~'I'
request for proposals for siting a Child Day Care Center;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has demonstrated need
for quality child care facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah wishes to assist the
Paducah Mothers' Club, a benevolent organization which
operates a charitable child care facility known as the
Paducah Day Nursery.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah approves the
submission of a proposal to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for
siting a Child Day Care Center in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah approves the
purchase of land presently owned by Paducah-McCracken County
Association for Retarded Citizens in an amount not to exceed '~~

$ for the construction of a Child Day Care
Center.
SECTION 3. The City of Paducah authorizes the
transfer of land to the Paducah Mothers' Club, d/b/a Paducah
Day Nursery, upon acquisition of said property from the
Paducah-McCracken County Association for Retarded Citizens
in an amount not to exceed $1.00, subject to and upon
approval by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, for development of
a Day Care Facility upon said property.
SECTION 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute all documents relating to this project.
SECTION 5. This Order will be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
