A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN FUNDING THROUGH THE
~,. CABINET FOR HUMAN RESOURCES, HUMAN SERVICES CONSTRUCTION
POOL BOND MONIES, COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, FOR RENOVATION ;~

OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER
WHEREAS, the Cabinet for Human Resources has
solicited for proposals from fiscal courts, city govern-
ments, public and other private non-profit organizations for
the purpose of constructing, purchasing, or renovating sites
for use as multi-purpose senior citizens centers; and
WHEREAS, the State's objective in requesting
project proposals is to improve the quality of life of the
elderly in Kentucky by consolidating service provider sites
and expanding services to the aged population; and
WHEREAS, the 1990 General Assembly authorized in
SB-223, $1.5 million for this activity with a minimum of one ,

center in each of the seven Kentucky Congressional Districts ~'~
and with a maximum of twelve centers to be designated
through this funding source; and
WHEREAS, the General Asseembly also set aside $1.5
in HB-700 to renovate, construct and purchase sites for the
creation of multi-purpose senior citizens centers throughout
the state.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute all
documents necessary, including all understandings and assur-
ances contained therein, and to provide such additional
information as may be required, to obtain funding through
the Cabinet for Human Resources, Human Services Construction ~ ~'

Pool Bond Monies, Commonwealth of Kentucky, for renovation
of the Paducah-McCracken County Senior Citizens Center
located at 1400 H. C. Mathis Drive in Paducah, McCracken
County, Kentucky.

SECTION 2. This Order will be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
