A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR FUNDING
THROUGH THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND, DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL
GOVERNMENT, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND IN BOB
NOBLE PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
RELATING TO SAME
limited to funding a maximum of twenty eight percent (28%) of the i
proposed project cost estimated at Seventy Thousand ($70,000.00)
Dollars.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
an application and all documents relating to funding through the
Land and Water Conservation Fund, Department of Local Government,
for the development of a community playground in Bob Noble Park.
A copy of this application is attached hereto and incorporated by
reference as if set out in full herein.
SECTION 2. The City of Paducah will hold in reserve
seventy two percent (72%) of the proposed project cost for the
purpose of matching the Land and Water Conservation Fund assist-
ance.
SECTION 3. In the event a grant is received, the City
of Paducah will sign assurance to comply with all applicable
Federal and State laws, rule and regulations, especially Title VI
of the Civil Rights Act and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilita-
tion Act.
SECTION 4. This order will be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its adoption.

WHEREAS,
the
City of
Paducah proposes to develop rec-
reational resources
to
provide
for the health and well being of
the general public;
and
WHEREAS,
the
City of
Paducah intends to make applica-
tion to the Department
of Local
Government for assistance under
the Land and Water
Conservation
Fund Act of 1965; and
WHEREAS,
the
Land and
Water Conservation Fund is
