HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 673627 MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 6 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PADUCAH'S URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO IMPLEMENT THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, established a program for Rural Discretionary funding of Community Development activities �and transfers authority for implementing this Block Grant program to the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, has been established to implement and carry out the community development program within Paducah; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Paducah has made an application for Community Development Block Grant funds under said Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and received approval by the Commonwealth of Kentucky of said application. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. All policy decisions relating to types of activities to be included in each annual application will be approved by the City Commission of Paducah SECTION 2. The Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency is hereby designated as the unit representing the City Commission in implementing and carrying out the Community Development Block Grant program. SECTION 3. The City Commission of Paducah reserves all rights of review and concurrence in approving the Urban Renewal Plans and condemnation of property as provided by KRS, Chapter 99. SECTION 4. The Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency will review and give preliminary approval to all reports, expenditures and other correspondence or data necessary to implement the program, and reports on said implementation will be made to the City Commission upon request. SECTION 5. The City of Paducah Department of Community Planning and Development is designated as the staffing agency to coordinate the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency activities. SECTION 6.
