A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR
CERTIFICATION FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO REGULATE BASIC CABLE
SERVICE RATES AND INITIAL FINDING OF LACK OF EFFECTIVE
COMPETITION
WHEREAS, the Federal Communications Commission rules
allow a municipality to regulate basic cable rates, effective
September 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to file an
application with the Federal Communications Commission to
obtain certification to regulate basic cable service rates,
effective September 11 1993.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute an application to the Federal Communications System for
certification for the City of Paducah to regulate basic cable
service rates and initial finding of lack of effective
competition. A copy of this application is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference as if fully set out herein.
SECTION 2. This Order will be in full force and
effect upon its adoption.
