A MUNICIPAL ORDER CREATING THE WILLIAM CLARK
RESTORATION BOARD
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created and established
' the William Clark Restoration Board consisting of four members.
SECTION 2. The members of said Board shall be named
by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Board of
Commissioners, shall be residents of the City of Paducah, and
shall be appointed as follows:
Steve Doolittle, Director of Planning for the City of
Paducah, who shall be Chairman, and shall serve in this
capacity while employed in this position with the City.
Bob Johnston, Curt Flannery and John Robertson, who
shall be appointed for two year terms, which terms shall expire
August 13, 1998.
SECTION 3. The duties of this Board shall be as
follows:
1. Develop and recommend to the City Commission a
plan of renovation and re -use of properties
acquired by the City of Paducah from Henry A.
Petter Supply Company and other holdings or
facilities as directed by the Mayor and City
Commission.
2. Identify and recommend to the City Commission
sources of funding for proposed renovations.
3. Report and make recommendations to the City
Commission concerning any sale, transfer, lease
of holdings in the Central Business District.
4. Develop and recommend to the City Commission a
statue of William Clark, the founder of the City
of Paducah, who is famous as a co -leader of the
Lewis and Clark Expedition which explored the
West; determine a site for placement of statue,
statue inscription and identification; and
recommend to the City Commission the source of
funding for said statue.
4. Such other duties of a like nature which shall be
directed to the Board by the City Commission.
SECTION 4. The members of this Board shall serve
without compensation from the City, may not incur indebtedness
to be paid by the City, and the City shall not be responsible
for debts incurred by said Board. Board members shall be
reimbursed for any expenses for travel, lodging and meals
incident to their duties on said Board.

SECTION 5. This Order shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
