A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
GRANT APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AGENCY, FOR A MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 FOR THE
PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT'S 2013/2014 ASSISTANCE FOR FIREFIGHTERS GRANT
PROGRAM
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application and
all documents necessary through the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency
Management Agency, for a matching grant in the amount of $250,000 for the Paducah Fire
Department's Assistance for Firefighter's Grant Program for funding for 14-2216 psi scba's (air
packs) with 4500 psi packs (including 50 new air bottles) and replacement of five (5) sets of
extrication tools. Local cash match will be in the amount of $25,000.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
