A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THAT EMPLOYEE
ENROLLMENT IN THE COUNTY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM (CERS)
COMMENCE ON THE DATE OF FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT WITH THE CITY OF
_ PADUCAH
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 75-6-1142, the City of
Paducah announced its intention to join the County Employees
Retirement System, effective July 1, 1975, pursuant to
provisions of KRS 78.510 through 78.991; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to abolish the six-month
probationary period for employee participation in the CERS
retirement system.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby abolishes the
six-month probationary period for employee enrollment in the
County Employee Retirement System and authorizes that employee
enrollment in and contributions to said Retirement System
(CERS) commence on the date of full-time employment with the
City for employees hired on or after December 1, 1996.
SECTION 2. This Order shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its adoption.
