A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR A
MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,720,000.00, FROM THE KENTUCKY
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WITH A CASH MATCH IN THE AMOUNT OF
$680,000.00, FOR THE PADUCAH STREETSCAPE PROJECT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application and all
documents relating to same, requesting a matching grant in the amount of $2,720,000.00, from
the Kentucky Department of Transportation for the Paducah Streetscape Project. The plan is to
completely renovate the existing Streetscape that from 7t` Street to Water Street on Broadway (6
blocks) and to include eleven (11) additional blocks, Water Street to Washington (2 blocks),
Market House Square (2 blocks), Maiden Alley (1 block), Water Street to 3rd Street on Kentucky
(2 blocks), Water Street to 3rd Street on Washington (2 blocks), Kentucky to Washington on 2nd
Street (1 block), 2nd Street to 3rd Street on Jefferson (1 block).
SECTION 2. Local cash matching funds will be in the amount of $680,000.00.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
