HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 817MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 817 A MUNICIPAL ORDER WAIVING ONE PERCENT (1%) OF CITY OCCUPATIONAL WAGE TAX TO PROMOTE JOB CREATION AT THE LYNX DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is in support of the LYNX Development. This $3,000,000 development will allow Lynx to create new jobs in the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah agrees to waive one percent (1%) of the local occupational wage tax on the new jobs created, as required by the Kentucky Jobs Development Act incentive program, for a period of ten years, to the extent it is able; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah requests the State to provide a four percent (4%) match for this incentive program in order to assist with this economic development program. SECTION 1. The City of Paducah is hereby authorized to waive one percent (1%) of its local occupational wage tax on new jobs created, as required by the Kentucky Jobs Development Act incentive program, for a period of ten years, to the extent it is able, for development of the LYNX Project. SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force on and after the date of its adoption.
