HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 1133MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1133 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A 2005 ASSISTANCE FOR FIREFIGHTERS GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATION AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY THROUGH THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY IN THE AMOUNT OF $108,625.00, FOR FUNDING TO BE USED FOR THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a matching fund grant application and all documents necessary to obtain a firefighter's grant through the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the amount of $108,625.00, for funding to be used to purchase 14 self-contained breathing apparatus units, installation of upgrade kits for SCBA units currently in use, 2 Rapid Intervention packs and 74 face pieces with voice amplifiers. Additionally the application requests, as a secondary item, funds for the purchase of 5 heavy duty exercise treadmills for the firehouses. The City cash match of 10% will be provided by the Fire Department in the amount of $10,900.00. SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
