HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 1109MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1109 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AMENDING TABLE 2, CLASSIFICATIONS/PAY SCHEDULES FOR NON -CIVIL SERVICE, POLICE AND FIRE; AND TABLE 3, GRADE, CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY RANGE FOR CITY OF PADUCAH EMPLOYEES TO CREATE THE POSITION OF RISK MANAGER AND AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR THE RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAM BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Table 2, "Classifications/Pay Schedule Non -civil Service, Police and Fire", and Table 3, "Grade, Classification and Salary Range", for employees of the City of Paducah, are hereby amended. This amendment is to create the position of Risk Manager. SECTION 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $22,000.00, from the Insurance Premiums accounts to the Risk Management program. SECTION 3. The amount of "specialty pay" an employee in the classification will receive per hour will be $0.35 or $0.50 cap depending on the certifications required for the position. The following positions are (1) Traffic Technician -Certification - Journeyman Electrician $0.35 or IMSA Level 11 Signal $0.50 (2) Maintenance Specialist -Certification -3rd Journeyman Cerfification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.50. (3) Maintenance Person 1-Certification-Joumey Certification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 (4) Class A Mechanic -Certification -3 ASE Certifications $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 or ASE GOLD Level Certification $0.50. The maximum hourly rate increase for any certified employee in the above classification will be caped at $0.50/hr. To remain eligible for "specialty pay" the employee must remain in one of the classifications eligible for "specialty pay". A employee who is receiving specialty pay and bids or transfers to another eligible classification will only receive the specialty pay for their new position. GENERAL GOVT. Special duty pay shall be discontinued upon reassignment of a police officer to duties other than the D.A.V.E., detectives, or bomb technician. * A police officer who is regulary assigned to traffic coordinator duties by the Chief of Police and with the approval of the City Manager, shall receive an additional seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per-bi-weekly pay period.
