HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 1105545 MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1105 A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTIES LOCATED ON NORTH 5TH STREET AND ON NORTH 8TH STREET TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-668 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that the City does not have any use at this time or in the future for properties located on North 5th Street, which constitutes surplus real estate. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the transfer of three tracts of real property located as follows: Tract I- 512 North 5th Street, Tract II- 525-27 North 8t' Street, and Tract III -533 North 5th Street. SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore approved for transfer, is more particularly described as follows: TRACT 1— 512 NORTH 5" STREET BEING A PART OF LOT NO. 159 IN BLOCK NO. 16 OF THE LOWER TOWN OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, COMMENCING AT A POINT IN THE EAST LINE OF FIFTH STREET (FORMERLY CHESTNUT STREET) 115 FEET AND 6 INCHES FROM THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF FIFTH AND HARRISON STREETS; THENCE TOWARD HARRISON STREET WITH THE LINE OF FIFTH STREET 42 FEET; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES 165 FEET TO AN ALLEY; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES AND WITH THE LINE OF SAID ALLEY IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTION 42 FEET; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES 165 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. Being in all respects the same property conveyed to City of Paducah, Kentucky by Deed dated October 20, 2004, of record in Deed Book 1051, page 589, McCracken County Clerk's Office. TRACT H — 525-27 NORTH 8TH STREET BEGINNING AT A POINT 57 FEET AND 9 INCHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF EIGHTH AND CLAY STREETS ON THE WEST SIDE OF EIGHTH STREET; THENCE WITH EIGHTH STREET TOWARDS HARRISON STREET 57 FEET 9 INCHES; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES TOWARD NINTH STREET 165 FEET TO AN ALLEY; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES AND WITH SAID ALLEY TOWARDS CLAY STREET 57 FEET 9 INCHES; THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES AND TOWARD EIGHTH STREET 165 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. Being in all respects the same property conveyed to City of Paducah, Kentucky, by Deed dated October 15, 2004, of record in Deed Book 1051, Page 597, McCracken County Clerk's Office. TRACT III -533 NORTH 5TH STREET BEING A PART OF LOT NO. 152, BLOCK NO. 20 IN LOWER TOWN OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND BEGINNING AT THE POINT OF INTERSECTION OF THE WEST LINE OF FIFTH STREET AND THE -- L - L IIds 546 SOUTH LINE OF CLAY STREET; THENCE, IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF CLAY STREET, 93 FEET TO A POINT; THENCE, AT RIGHT ANGLES AND IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION 57.75 FEET TO A POINT IN THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT NO. 152; THENCE, AT RIGHT ANGLES AND ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT NO. 152,93 FEET TO A POINT IN THE WEST LINE OF NORTH FIFTH STREET; THENCE, AT RIGHT ANGLES AND IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTION AND ALONG THE WEST LINE OF NORTH FIFTH STREET, 57.75 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.i Being in all respects the same property conveyed to City of Paducah by Deed dated October 25, 2004 of record in Deed Book 1051, Page 593, McCracken County Clerk's Office. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute deeds for the transfer of real properties authorized in Section 1 above to the Agency. SECTION 4.
