A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF A
PORTION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1500 NORTH 8TH STREET TO THE
PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY JOINT SEWER AGENCY
WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-668 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that the
City does not have any use at this time or in the future for property located at the corner
of Eighth and Northview Streets, which constitutes surplus real estate.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the transfer of a tract
of real property located at 1500 North 8th Street to the Paducah -McCracken Joint Sewer
Agency.
SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore
approved for transfer, is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of 7th and Terrell Streets and thence in
a Westerly direction and with Terrell Street a distance of 247 feet, more
or less, to the Northeast corner of 8th and Terrell Streets; thence in a
Northerly direction and with 8th Street 140 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence at right angles and in an Easterly direction 247 feet, more or less,
to a point; thence at right angles and with 7th Street 140 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning.
Now more particularly described as Tract A, consisting of 0.3230 acres,
and Tract B, consisting of 0.4689 acres, as set forth on the Waiver of
d I'll, i Subdivision Plat for Duke & Long Distributing Company, of record in Plat
Section L, page 238, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by
Quitclaim Deed dated October 31, 2003, of record in Deed Book 1027,
page 739, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and any
necessary documents relating to same to transfer the real property to the Agency.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
