MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1045
A MUNICIPAL ORDER ADOPTING TABLE 1, AND TABLE 2,
CLASSIFICATIONS/ PAY SCHEDULE FOR CIVIL SERVICE, NON -CIVIL
SERVICE, POLICE AND FIRE
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Table 1, "Classifications/Pay Schedule/Civil Service,
and Table 2, "Classifications/Pay Schedule Non -civil Service, Police and Fire", is hereby
adopted. (Transfer position of Fire Mechanic in Fire Department to Public Works
Department/Fleet Maintenance Division).
SECTION 2. This change shall become effective March 15, 2004.
SECTION 3. This Order will be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.

Note: AFSCME employees in the classifications below shall be eligible to receive "specialty pay" once they have
received the certification for the position. The amount of "specialty pay" an employee in the classification will
receive per hour will be $0.35 or $0.50 cap depending on the certifications required for the position. The following
positions are (1) Traffic Technician -Certification - Journeyman Electrician $0.35 or IMSA Level 11 Signal $0.50
(2) Maintenance Specialist -Certification -3rd Journeyman Cerfification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.50. (3) Maintenance
Person 1 -Certification -Journey Certification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 (4) Class A
Mechanic -Certification -3 ASE Certifications $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 or ASE GOLD Level Certification
$0.50. The maximum hourly rate increase for any certified employee in the above classification will be caped at
$0.50/hr. To remain eligible for"specialty pay"the employee must remain in one of the classifications eligible for
"specialty pay". A employee who is receiving specialty pay and bids or transfers to another eligible classification
will only receive the specialty pay for their new position.

A person may hold the position of Deputy Building Inspector Trainee for a period not to exceed two years. A person may hold the position
of Deputy Electrical Inspector Trainee for a period not to exceed one year. Upon receiving the state certifications for the position of Deputy
Building or Deputy Electrical Inspector shall be promoted to the position of Deputy Building or Deputy Electrical Inspector.
