MUNICIPAL ORDER ESTABLISHING A USAGE FEE
FOR NEW ELECTRICAL BOXES

WHEREAS, previously all participants in events on City property which required on-site
electrical power, had to apply to the Inspections Department for a permit and then take the permit to
Paducah Power System. Each applicant was charged $65 for each new temporary service to be installed,
plus usage, which was billed after the event.
WHEREAS, due to the new underground service in the following locations the City will no
longer be installing temporary poles, but will be installing boxes for electrical hookup which may be rented
from the City: Farmer's Market parking lot, Broadway Parking Plaza, the riverfront, Wilson Stage, the
opening in the floodwall between Broadway and Jefferson, and Noble Park.
WHEREAS, the City desires to implement a fair, consistent, and simple method of supplying
electrical service for events permitted on the above described properties.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The rental fee per box for electrical hookup at any of the above referenced
locations shall be Thirty Dollars ($30) per day, including usage.
SECTION 2. Said rental fee shall be paid to the City Finance Department after the necessary
permit has been issued by the City Manager's office to the individual or entity coordinating the event.
SECTION 3. Except as modified herein, all previously enacted ordinances, orders,
procedures and policies with regard to the rental of electrical or the issuance of event permits shall remain
in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: This Order shall be in full force and effec on and after the date
of its adoption. r
