A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A GRANT FROM THE KENTUCKY DIVISION
OF WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR A 2006 KENTUCKY LITTER ABATEMENT PROGRAM
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary
to obtain a grant from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management for a 2006 Kentucky Litter
Abatement Program for the Public Works Department. The grant amount will be based on a
formula using the total number of street miles within the City. The City will be required to
provide a 25% match for all funds received. The City's match will be made through "in-kind"
services such as street sweeping, disposal costs, staff time, etc.
SECTION 2. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
