A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
APPLICATION FOR A FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY GRANT THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, OFFICE FOR DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $41,525, FOR FUNDING TO IMPLEMENT FIRE PREVENTION AND
SAFETY PROGRAMS
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a grant application to
obtain a Fire Prevention and Safety Grant through the Department of Homeland Security in the
amount of $41,525, for funding to implement fire prevention and fire safety programs for
children under the age of 14 and for installation of smoke detectors for low-income and senior
citizens.
SECTION 2. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
