A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF A
PORTION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1500 NORTH 8TH STREET TO
MIDWEST TERMINAL, INC., AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED AND ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAME
WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-668 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that the
City does not have any use at this time or in the future for property adjacent to the
Floodwall pump plant located at North 5th Street and Park Avenue, which constitutes
surplus real estate.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the transfer of a tract
of real property adjacent to the Floodwall pump plant located at North 5th Street and Park
Avenue to Midwest Terminal, Inc.
SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore
approved for transfer, is more particularly described as follows:
A portion of property depicted as Parcel "B" on the plat
entitled "Campbell Street Right of Way Dedication for the
City of Paducah" located adjacent to the City of Paducah
Floodwall between Park Avenue and Campbell Street as
surveyed by Jeffrey K. Clark, P.L.S. No. 3117. Said plat is
recorded in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office in
Plat Book L Page 1487.
The parcel of property contains: Parcel "B" - 4,434.5
Square Feet
The above-described property was originally part of a portion of
property acquired by the City of Paducah by deed recorded in
the McCracken County Court Clerk's office in Deed Book 200
Page 346 dated October 18, 1940.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and any
necessary documents relating to same to transfer the real property to Midwest Terminal,
Inc.
SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its adoption.
