HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 1217MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1217 A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1414 NORTH 8TH STREET TO PADUCAH- McCRACKEN JOINT SEWER AGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED AND ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAME WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-668 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that the City does not have any use at this time or in the future for properties located 1414 North Stn Street, which constitutes surplus real estate. BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby approves the transfer of f real property located at 1414 North 8th Street to Paducah McCracken Joint Sewer Agency. SECTION 2. That the property authorized in Section 1 above, heretofore approved for transfer, is more particularly described as follows: Being situated in Block 69 of Harris -Flournoy Trimble and Norton's addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is described as follows: Beginning at a stake on the east side of Eighth Street and two hundred eighty (280) feet South of Terrell Street; thence extending with Eighth Street towards Terrell Streetforty (40) feet; thence at right angles and towards Seventh Street one hundred fifty-five (155) feet to a thirty (30) foot alley; thence with said alley towards Flournoy Street forty (40) feet; thence at right angles one hundred fifty- five (155) feet to the beginning stake on Eighth Street. Being in all respects the same property conveyed to Charles J. Thompson and wife, Rosalie C. Thompson by Deed dated May 26, 1961, of record in Deed Book 424, page 597, McCracken County Clerk's Office. Charles J. Thompson is no deceased and pursuant to the survivorship provision in said Deed, his interest vested immediately at his death in Rosalie C. Thompson. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and any necessary documents relating to same to transfer the real property to Paducah McCracken Joint Sewer Agency. SECTION 4. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption. �! ATTEST: Tammara S.
