A MUNICIPAL ORDER AMENDING TABLE 2, CLASSIFICATIONS/
PAY SCHEDULE, NON -CIVIL SERVICE, POLICE, AND FIRE, AND TABLE 3,
GRADE CLASSIFICATIONS AND PAY RANGES, TO ABOLISH AND CREATE
SPECIFIC POSITIONS WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS AND FINANCE
DEPARTMENTS
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Table 2, "Classifications/Pay Schedule, Non -Civil
Service, Police, and Fire" is hereby amended to reflect the following:
Public Works:
(1) Abolish the positions of Secretary and Clerical Specialist
(2) Increase the number of Secretary I positions from 1 to 3
Finance Department:
(1) Abolish the position of Accountant I
(2) Create the position of Budget Officer
SECTION 2. That Table 3, "Grade Classifications and Pay Ranges" is
hereby amended to reflect the following:
(1) Abolish the positions of Secretary and Accountant I
(2) Create the position of Budget Officer
SECTION 3. This Order will be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.

Note: AFSCME employees in the classifications above shall be eligible to receive "specialty pay" once they have
received the certification for the position. The amount of "specialty pay" an employee in the classification will
receive per hour will be $0.35 or $0.50 cap depending on the certifications required for the position. The following
positions are (1) Traffic Technician -Certification - Journeyman Electrician $0.35 or IMSA Level 11 Signal $0.50
(2) Maintenance Specialist -Certification -3rd Journeyman Cerfification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.50. (3) Maintenance
Person 1 -Certification -Journey Certification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 (4) Class A
Mechanic -Certification -3 ASE Certifications $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 or ASE GOLD Level Certification
$0.50. The maximum hourly rate increase for any certified employee in the above classification will be caped at
$0.50/hr. To remain eligible for "specialty pay" the employee must remain in one of the classifications eligible for
"specialty pay". A employee who is receiving specialty pay and bids or transfers to another eligible classification

*A police officer who is regularly assigned to investigative duties in the Drug and Vice Enforcement Unit (D.A.V.E.), as a detective,
K-9 officer, Emergency Response Team member, Crisis Intervention Team member, Accident Reconstruction Team member
or bomb technician by the Chief of Police and with the approval of the City Manager, shall after the first thirty (30) days of such
assignment, receive additional compensation of forty dollars ($40) per bi-weekly pay period effective December 29, 1992. Special
duty pay shall be discontinued upon reassignment of a police officer to duties other than those described above.
