HomeMy WebLinkAboutMO # 1225MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1225 A MUNICIPAL ORDER AMENDING TABLE 2, CLASSIFICATIONS/ PAY SCHEDULE, NON -CIVIL SERVICE, POLICE, AND FIRE, AND TABLE 3, GRADE CLASSIFICATIONS AND PAY RANGES, TO ABOLISH AND CREATE SPECIFIC POSITIONS WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS AND FINANCE DEPARTMENTS BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Table 2, "Classifications/Pay Schedule, Non -Civil Service, Police, and Fire" is hereby amended to reflect the following: Public Works: (1) Abolish the positions of Secretary and Clerical Specialist (2) Increase the number of Secretary I positions from 1 to 3 Finance Department: (1) Abolish the position of Accountant I (2) Create the position of Budget Officer SECTION 2. That Table 3, "Grade Classifications and Pay Ranges" is hereby amended to reflect the following: (1) Abolish the positions of Secretary and Accountant I (2) Create the position of Budget Officer SECTION 3. The amount of "specialty pay" an employee in the classification will receive per hour will be $0.35 or $0.50 cap depending on the certifications required for the position. The following positions are (1) Traffic Technician -Certification - Journeyman Electrician $0.35 or IMSA Level 11 Signal $0.50 (2) Maintenance Specialist -Certification -3rd Journeyman Cerfification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.50. (3) Maintenance Person 1 -Certification -Journey Certification (HVAC/ELEC/PLMB) $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 (4) Class A Mechanic -Certification -3 ASE Certifications $0.35 or Welder Certification $0.35 or ASE GOLD Level Certification $0.50. The maximum hourly rate increase for any certified employee in the above classification will be caped at $0.50/hr. To remain eligible for "specialty pay" the employee must remain in one of the classifications eligible for "specialty pay".
