MUNICIPAL ORDER NO. 1270
A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR A
TRANSPORTATION, COMMUNITY, AND SYSTEM PRESERVATION GRANT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $975,000.00, THROUGH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
FEDERAL HIGHWAY PROGRAM, TO IMPROVE THE CITY OF PADUCAH'S TRANSIT
SYSTEM
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an application and all
documents relating to same, in cooperation with Paducah Area Transit System, requesting a
Transportation, Community and System Preservation Grant in the amount of $975,000.00
through the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Program, to improve the City
of Paducah's transit system. These funds will be used to purchase property for a Paducah Area
Transit System Transfer Station, establish a City of Paducah/Paducah Area Transit System
Information Kiosk, and a downtown trailhead for the Paducah Greenway Trail.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $243,750.00 from the State of Kentucky
Toll Credits will provide for the balance of the project for a total cost of $1,218,750.00.
SECTION 3. This order will be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
