At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chambers at City Hall at 10:00 a -in., Thursday, May 4., 1989, Mayor Pro -tem Leeper
presided, and upon call of the roll, the following answered to their names: Com-
missioners Coleman, Grumley, and Mayor Pro -tem Leeper (3). Mayor Montgomery arrived
late (1).
Mayor Pro -tem Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman,
that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 10:00 a.m.,
Thursday, May 4, 1989, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the roll, yeas
Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, and Mayor Pro -tem Leeper (3).
Commissioner Grumley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman that
the Board of Commissioners adopt an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE
BID OF J.C. CATES CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,626.00 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A
MAINTENANCE BUILDING AT THE PADUCA11-McCRACKEN COUNTY LANDFILL..AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME". This ordinance is summarized as follows:
Accepting the bid of Cates Construction for the construction of a maintenance
building at the landfill, and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for same.
Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley and Mayor Pro -tem
Leeper.
Mayor Pro -tem Leeper offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Coleman,
that the Board of Commissioners go into Executive Session for discussions which
might lead to the appointment, discipline or dismissal of an individual employee.
Adopted on call of the roll, yeas, Commissioners Coleman, Grumley, Leeper and Mayor
Montgomery (4).
At the conclusion of Executive Session, the board reconvened in the
Commission Chambers, whereupon the Mayor Pro -tem announced there was no further
business.
Upon motion the meeting adjourned.
