A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO OBTAIN AN
ONLINE 2007 U.S. BULLETPROOF VEST PARTNERSHIP GRANT AWARD THROUGH
THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to obtain a grant from the U. S.
Department of Justice, which funds will be used by the Police Department for the purchase of
personal body armor for police officers.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City is hereby authorized and directed to obtain an online 2007
US Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Award through the U.S. Department of Justice for use by
the Police Department. This grant will reimburse the City up to $2,800.00 for purchase of body
armor for police officers.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the USDOJ Vest Grant Project
Account.
SECTION 3. This order shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its adoption.
