A MUNICIPAL ORDER AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION/ PAY
SCHEDULE TABLE TO RECLASSIFY, ABOLISH AND INCREASE SALARIES OF
CERTAIN POSITIONS WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS, POLICE AND FIRE
DEPARTMENTS
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Classification/Pay Schedule Table is hereby
amended to reflect the following:
Public Works:
(1) Abolish Fleet Superintendent position
(2) Abolish Facilities Maintenance Supervisor position
(3) Reclassify Equipment Operator position (range 55) to Master
Electrician (range 57)
(4) Change Maintenance Person I title to Maintenance Technician
(5) Reclassify Maintenance Specialist (range 56) to Maintenance
Technician (range 55)
(6) Increase Maintenance Technician positions from 2 to 3 (range 55)
(7) Create Public Works Superintendent position (range 59)
(8) Increase Maintenance and Street Superintendent's salary
Fire:
(1) Abolish Codes Enforcement Officer
(2) Confirm salary rates effective August 1, 2007 for Assistant Chiefs
Police:
(1) Confirm salary rates effective August 1, 2007 for Assistant Chiefs
SECTION 2. This Order will be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its adoption.

'A police officer who is regularly assigned to investigative duties in the Drug and Vice Enforcement Unit (D.A.V.E.), as a detective,
K-9 officer, Emergency Response Team member, Crisis Intervention Team member, Accident Reconstruction Team member
or bomb technician by the Chief of Police and with the approval of the City Manager, shall after the first thirty (30) days of such
assignment, receive additional compensation of forty dollars ($40) per bi-weekly pay period effective December 29, 1992. Special
duty pay shall be discontinued upon reassignment of a police officer to duties other than those described above.
