AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED ON LONE OAK ROAD BETWEEN BIRCH STREET AND
SYCAMORE STREET, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE
SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the
Paducah Planning Commission on June 17, 1991, and
entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED ON LONE OAK ROAD BETWEEN BIRCH STREET AND
SYCAMORE STREET", be approved as the final report of said
Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the
following described property be, and it is hereby, changed
from R-2, Low/Medium Density Residential Zone, to R-4, High
Density Residential Zone:
Beginning at point in the center line of Lone Oak
Road, said point being where Sycamore Street and
Medical Center Drive intersect; thence in a
southerly direction along the center line of Lone
Oak Road a distance of 720 feet more or less, to a
point in the center line of Lone Oak Road where
Lone Oak Road and Birch Street intersect; thence
in a westerly direction along the center line of
Birch Street a distance of 200 feet to a point
where Birch Street and a 20 foot alley intersect;
thence in a northerly direction along the center
line of a 20 foot alley a distance of 720 feet to
a point in the center line of Sycamore Street;
thence in an easterly direction along the center -�
line of Sycamore Street a distance of 200 feet to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall
not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provi-
sions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
