ORDINANCE NO. 91-7-4635
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN KENTUCKY AVENUE AND WASHINGTON
STREET AND BETWEEN SOUTH 26TH AND 27TH STREETS, AND AMENDING
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the
Paducah Planning Commission on June 17, 1991, and
entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN KENTUCKY AVENUE AND WASHINGTON
STREET AND BETWEEN SOUTH 26TH AND 27TH STREETS", be approved
as the final report of said Commission respecting the
matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2.
That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3.
That the zone classification of the
following described property be, and it is hereby, changed
from R-2, Low/Medium Density Residential Zone, to R-4, High
Density Residential Zone:
Beginning at point where the center line of South
27th Street intersects the center line of Kentucky
Avenue; thence in an easterly direction along the
center line of Kentucky Avenue a distance of 380
feet to the intersection of the westerly line of a
50 foot wide lot owned by J.H. Key if said lot
line were projected to the north; thence in a
southerly direction along and with said lot line
and a projection thereof, 206.25 feet to the
center line of a 16.5 foot alley; thence in an
easterly direction with the center line of said
alley, to the center line of South 26th Street; a
distance of 85 feet more or less; thence in a
southerly direction a distance of 206.25 feet to a.
point in the center line of Washington Street;
thence in a westerly direction along the center
line of Washington Street to a point in the center
line of South 27th Street a distance of 460 feet
more or less; thence in a northerly direction
along the center line of South 27th Street a
distance of 415 feet more or less to the point of
beginning.

SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall
not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
