ORDINANCE NO. 91-8-4661
STATES ASPHALT COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT
OF ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR 1991-92, TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUC-
TION AND REPAIR WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the
proposal of Southern States Asphalt Company, dated July 15,
1991, for sale to the City of its 1991-92 requirement of as-
phalt to be used in street construction and repair work, for
the following prices:
AE -200 (approximately 6,500 gal.) $0.5985
SS -1H (approximately 1,000 gal.) $0.5785
RS -2 (approximately 1,000 gal.) $0.5385
Primer L (approximately 1,000 gal.) $0.8385
Mill Rental (approximately 6,500 gal.) $0.0600
(per gal. of AE -200)
The above prices include delivery to any point in
the City of Paducah in minimum transport quantities of 5,000
gallons. Terms: Net 15th Prox.
Said proposal being in substantial compliance
with, and as contained in the proposal of Southern States
Asphalt Company, dated July 15, 1991.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Southern States Asphalt Company for
the purchase of the items set forth in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all con-
tract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the
proposal.
SECTION 3.
That Southern States Asphalt Company
will furnish to the City, within ten (10) days after execu-
tion of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of
$1,000.00.
SECTION 4. The purchase price for said asphalt
shall be charged to Account No. 03-22-14-384 MAP.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary publi-
cation pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
