HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-12-4357753 ORDINANCE NO. 89-12-4357 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED FOR CONNECTING TO CITY SANITARY SEWERS CONSTRUCTED BY THE I CITY KNOWN AS PARK PLAZA SUBDIVISION AND ALLEN LANE SEWER EXTENSION, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CONNECTION \" PERMITS, PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF CONNECTION CHARGES, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The charge for connection to the Park Plaza Subdivision and Allen Lane Sewer Extension is established as follows: A. Connection Charges (1) The charge for connecting a single family residence or a church to the Park Plaza Subdivision and Allen Lane Sewer Extension is established at $1,510.00. A separate fee shall be paid for each establishment regardless ✓I of whether the connection to the sewer system is by individual service line or shared service line. (2) The charge for connecting a commercial estab- lishment is established at $1,510.00. A separate fee shall be paid for each establishment regardless of whether the connection to the sewer system is by individual service line or shared service line. (3 ) The charge for connection of a multi -family residence or main (a main is a sewer line 8 inches or larger serving several pieces of property which is dedicated and accepted by the City of Paducah) is: a. $1,510.00 AND b. $200.00 per residential unit connected to the main plus $350.00 for each commercial unit connected to said main. The unit charge is to be paid as each unit is connected to the main. 754 B. The City Building Inspector shall collect the appropriate connection fee in accordance with Section 1A herein. Upon payment of the connection fee the City Treasurer shall issue payment of one-half (1/2) of said fee to Park Plaza of Paducah, Inc. in accordance with the mutual agreement entered into on the 4th day of August, 1989, between the City of Paducah and Park Plaza of Paducah, Inc. C. Service Lines All costs for service lines, including, but not limited to, boring or trenching (whether on or off the right-of-way or easement) shall be paid for by the person connecting to the sewer system. SECTION 2. No connection to said sanitary sewer system shall be made by any property owner or other person, firm or corporation, except under permit for such connections issued by the Building Inspector of the City. SECTION 3. The Building Inspector shall not issue a connection permit set out in Section 2 hereof until he has received evidence that the proper connection fee has been paid to the City Treasurer. SECTION 4. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to fail to make the connection required by Section 32-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah to the sanitary sewer construction in the above-described territory. SECTION 5. All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon publication of title and a certified summary thereof. GERRY B.
