ORDINANCE NO. 92-8-4812
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF
CLAY STREET TO MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DRIVE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the name of a portion of
Clay Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be changed to
Martin Luther King Jr. Drive; said portion of.Clay Street
being renamed is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Clay Street and
the south right-of-way of Park Avenue, said
J intersection is approximately 350 feet east of the
east right-of-way of 21st Street as measured along
Park Avenue; thence running along Clay Street
(I-24 Downtown Loop) to the west right-of-way of
Fourth Street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance will become effective
on January 18, 1993, the date established by the United
States Government as the official birthday of Martin Luther
King Jr.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will be published pursuant to KRS Chapter
424.
