ORDINANCE NO. 92-7-4800
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF INGRAM MATERIALS
COMPANY, FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF SAND TO BE
USED DURING THE YEAR 1992-93, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
Ingram Materials Company for sale to the City of its
requirement of sand to be used in street construction work for
the year 1992-93, said bid being in words and figures as
follows:
"We propose to furnish and sell to the City of
Paducah sand to be picked up at the plant by the City
and to be used during the 1992-93 fiscal year, for
the following prices per ton:
APPROX UNIT BID
NO. DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT PRICE AMOUNT
1. Concrete Sand 1,000 Tons $ 3.10 $3,100.00
2. Mortar Sand 1,000 Tons $ 3.40 $3,400.00
J TOTAL BID: $6,500.00
"Material delivered will be according to Section 804
of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of
Highways specifications for sand.
"If the contract is awarded to us, we agree to post a,
performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00 We also
agree to conform with all other requirements as set y
forth in the request for bids on this material".
Said bid being in substantial compliance with, and as contained
in the bid of Ingram Materials Company, dated June 24, 1992.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Ingram Materials Company for the purchase of
sand as set out in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3.
The purchase price for said gravel shall
be charged to the following accounts:

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary ( j)
publication pursuant to KRS Chapt 424.
