ORDINANCE NO. 92-3-4733
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY
THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE
SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the
present city limits, along Olivet Church Road, is urban in
character and suitable for development for urban purposes
without unreasonable delay.
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the
present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable
and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property.
WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the
boundary of another incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, KRS 81A.412 provides that a city may
annex any area which meets the necessary requirements if
each of the owners of record of such land consent in
writing to the annexation; and
WHEREAS, the owners have requested such
annexation in writing to the Mayor and Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That it is the intent of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky to annex the hereinafter described
property and therefore, that the hereinafter described
property be annexed to, and be made a part of, the City of
Paducah, Kentucky; the said real property being more par-
ticularly and accurately described as follows:
-� Beginning at the point of intersection of the
existing city limits and the east right of way of
Olivet Church Road (Kentucky Highway 988), said point
being the common corner to the north line of a 275
foot wide Tennessee Valley Authority powerline
easement, said point also being approximately 2,130
feet from the north right of way of U.S. Highway 62;
thence with the west right of way line of Olivet
Church Road, South 190 38' 54" West a distance of
450.86 feet to an iron pin;
thence with the west right of way line of Olivet
Church Road, if projected, South 190 38' 54" West a
distance of 99.79 feet to a point;

thence North 711 41' 43" West a distance of 45.01
feet to an iron pin set in the west right of way line
of Olivet Church Road and the north line of the
Jackson Purchase E.C.C. substation site (Deed Book
715, Page 411);
thence with lines common to said Jackson Purchase
property as follows: North 71° 41' 42" West a
distance of 55.94 feet to an iron pin, South 190.18'
17" West a distance of 200.00 feet to an iron pin,

iron pin, South 19° 14' 41" West a distance of 320.00
feet to an iron pin, and South 710 41' 43" East a
distance of 200.00 feet to an iron pin set in the west
line of the lands now or formally owned by Mostafa

thence with the west line of said Shayeghi

feet to a concrete monument set at a corner common to
the lands now or formally owned by Walter Robins Howe

thence with the northern lines of the said Howe

distance of 520.47 feet to a steel post, North 100 00'
51" West a distance of 215.04 feet to a steel post,
South 880 26' 451" West a distance of 150.33 feet to a
steel post, North 791 11' 31" West a distance of
167.63 feet to a steel post, South 320 13' 02" West a
distance of 112.17 feet to an iron pin, and North 710
22' 58" West a distance of 609.22 feet to a concrete
post found at a fence corner;
thence with the west line of said Howe property,
South 180 57' 49" West a distance of 2,503.30 feet to
an iron pin set in the north right of way line of U.S.
Highway 62, said pin being removed 30.0 feet from the

intersection of the north right of way line of U.S.
Highway 62 and the east right of way line of the
Lamond - Purdue Road, said monument being located
approximately 1,960 feet west along U.S. Highway 62
from the center of the Massac Church Road;

Said annexation contains 589.23 acres.
SECTION 2. This ordinance of annexation shall be
read on two separate days and upon publication the territory
described above shall become a part of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky for all purposes.
