ORDINANCE NO. 92-5-4765
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN HIGHWAY 60, 62 AND OLIVET CHURCH
ROAD, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO
EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the
Paducah Planning Commission on April 20, 1992, entitled, "A
RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH
PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED BETWEEN HIGHWAY 60, 62 AND OLIVET CHURCH ROAD", be
approved as the final report of said Commission respecting
the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the
following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-1,
High Density Residential Zone, to POP, Planned Office Park
Zone:
Beginning at a point in the intersection of the
existing city limits and the east right of way of
Olivet Church Road (Kentucky Highway 988), said
point being the common corner to the north line of
a 275 foot wide Tennessee Valley Authority
powerline easement, said point also being
approximately 2,130 feet from the north right of
way of U.S. Highway 62; thence with the west right
of way line of Olivet Church Road, south 19
degrees 38.minutes 54 seconds west a distance of
450.86 feet to an iron pin; thence with the west
right of way line of Olivet Church Road, if
projected, south 19 degrees 38 minutes 54 seconds
west a distance of 99.79 feet to a point; thence
north 71 degrees 41 minutes 43 seconds west a
distance of 45.01 feet to an iron pin set in the
west right of way line of Olivet Church Road and
the north line of the Jackson Purchase E.C.C.
substation site (Deed Book 715, page 411;
thence with the lines common to said Jackson
Purchase property as follows: north 71 degrees 41
minutes 42 seconds west a distance of 55.94 feet
to an iron pin, south 19 degrees 18 minutes 17
seconds west a distance of 200.00 feet to an iron
pin, north 71 degrees, 41 minutes 42 seconds west
a distance of 125.00 feet to an iron pin, south 19
degrees 14 minutes 41 seconds west a distance of
320.00 feet to an iron pin, and south 71 degrees
41 minutes 43 seconds east a distance of 200.00
feet to an iron pin set in the west line of the
lands now or formerly owned by Mostafa Shayeghi
(Deed Book 745, page 597;
thence with the west line of said Shayeghi
property south 19 degrees 10 minutes 04 seconds
west a distance of 329.18 feet to a concrete
monument set at the corner common to the lands now
or formerly owned by Walter Robins Howe (Deed Book
671, page 214);

Howe property as follows: north 73 degrees 35
minutes 48 seconds west a distance of 520.47 feet
to a steel post, north 10 degrees 00 minutes 51
seconds west a distance of 215.04 feet to a steel
post, south 88 degrees 26 minutes 45 seconds west
a distance of 150.33 feet to a steel post, north
79 degrees 11 minutes 31 seconds west a distance
of 167.63 feet to a steel post, south 32 degrees

section of the north right of way line of U.S.
Highway 62 and the east right of way line of the
Lamond-Purdue Road, said monument being located
approximately 1,960 feet west along U.S. Highway
62 from the center of the Massac Church Road;
thence from the point of beginning and with the
east right of way line of the Lamond-Purdue Road,

distance of 1,207.46 feet to an iron pin set in a
line common to the lands now or formerly owned by

thence with a line common to the said Housman
property, south 70 degrees 43 minutes 55 seconds
east a distance of 20.00 feet to a concrete
monument; thence with the east line of the said v
Housman property, north 19 degrees 16 minutes 05
seconds east a distance of 1,087.00 feet to a
concrete monument; thence with the north line of
the said Housman property, north 70 degrees 43
minutes 55 seconds west (passing an iron pin at a
distance of 1,477.00 feet) a total distance of
1,577.00 feet to a point in the center of the
Middle Fork of the Massac Creek; thence with the
center of said creek south 48 degrees, 33 minutes
15 seconds west a distance of 15.01 feet to a
point, said point being the northeast corner of
the lands now or formerly owned by the Peoples
First National Bank and Trust Company, (Deed Book

thence with the north line of said Bank

Road (Kentucky Highway 998), said monument removed
25 feet from the centerline of said roadway;
thence south 72 degrees 02 minutes 16 seconds east
a distance of 45.02 feet to a point in the east
right of way of Olivet Church Road; thence with
the east right of way line of Olivet Church Road,
south 19 degrees 38 minutes 54 seconds west a
distance of 89.89 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall
not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and
provisions.

SECTION S. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
