AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF
AN AREA ROUGHLY BOUNDED BY HOLT ROAD, OLIVET CHURCH ROAD,
HANSEN ROAD AND U.S. HIGHWAY 60, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH
ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the
Paducah Planning Commission on September 16, 1991,
and entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF
THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF
AN AREA ROUGHLY BOUNDED BY HOLT ROAD, OLIVET CHURCH ROAD,
HENSON ROAD AND U.S. HIGHWAY 60 FROM R-1, LOW DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL, TO MU, MIXED USE ZONE", be approved as the
final report of said Commission respecting the matters
therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the
following described property be, and it is hereby, changed
from R-1, Low Density Residential Zone, to MU, Mixed Use
Zone:
Beginning at the intersection of the south right
of way line of Hinkleville Road (U.S. Highway 60)
and the east right of way line of Olivet Church
Road (Ky. Highway 998) thence northeasterly along
the south right of way line of Hinkleville Road,
683 feet more or less to the Olivet Baptist Church
property; thence southerly long Olivet Baptist
Church's west property line, 726 feet more or
less; thence easterly along Olivet Baptist
Church's south property line, 492.5 feet more or
less to the southwest corner of the McCracken
County Board of Education's property; thence
easterly along the McCracken County Board of
Education's south property line, 502.4 feet more
or less; thence northerly along McCracken County
Board of Education's east property line 224.4 feet
more or less to the southeast corner of McCracken
County, Kentucky's property; thence continuing
northerly and along McCracken County, Kentucky's
east property line, 564 feet more or less to the
southwest corner of Concord Methodist Church's
property; thence easterly along Concord Methodist
Church's south property line, 323 feet more or
less; thence northerly along Concord Methodist
Church's east property line, 500 feet more or less
to the south right of way line of Hinkleville Road
(U.S. Highway 60); thence easterly along the south
right of way line of Hinkleville Road (U.S.
Highway 60), 50 feet more or less to the west line
of Lot No. 8 of Bellview Subdivision of record in
Plat Book "F", page 7; thence southerly along the
west line of said Lot No. 8, 200 feet more or less
to the southwest corner of Lot No. 8; thence

The previously described property contains 114
acres, more or less.
Less and except the following described property
presently zoned for Highway Business District use:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot No. 8 of
-- the aforesaid Bellview Subdivision, thence
easterly along the south line of Lot No. 8, Lot
No. 7 and Lot No. 6 of said Bellview Subdivision,
300 feet more or less; thence southerly along the
west line of Lot No. 5A of said Bellview
Subdivision, 126.3 feet more or less; thence
easterly along the south line of Lot No. 5A and
Lot No. 3 of said Bellview Subdivision, 180.9 feet
more or less; thence south along the west property
lines of Robert and Nancy Dean Walls, Richard and
JoAnne Allcock, and William Hudson, 320 feet more
or less; thence easterly along the south property
line of William Hudson, 200 feet more or less to
the west right of way line of Holt Road; thence
southerly along the west right of way line of Holt
Road, 140 feet more or less to the north property
line of Dorris Duperrieu, thence westerly along
the north property line of Dorris Duperrieu and
with a projection thereof approximately 550 feet
more or less; thence in a northerly direction and
with the westerly line of Lot No. 8 of the
aforesaid subdivision if extended to the south
approximately 400 feet to the point of beginning
of the herein excepted property and containing
approximately 4.6 acres more or less.
The net area of property proposed for rezoning
being approximately 109.4 acres more or less.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall

not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provi-
sions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
