ORDINANCE NO. 90-6-4443
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 10-49, 10-51, 10-52, 10-53,
10-54, 10-55, 10-56, 10-58, 10-59, 10-60, 10-61, 10-63 and 10-65,
"CIVIL SERVICE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-49 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said
section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-49. Department of finance.
This department shall be under the direction and supervision of
the city treasurer - finance director, a noncivil service
position which has heretofore been created by separate ordi-
nance.
(a) There is hereby created and authorized the following
positions in the department of finance, and the salary of each position
that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of
service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City Manager:

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one
maintenance specialist in his department to act as a lead man or
part-time working foreman to serve in such capacity at the direction of
the chief of the maintenance division. The maintenance specialist so
designated shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour during such times
as the maintenance specialist designated actually serves in such
capacity.
SECTION 12. That Section 10-63, Fire Department Switchboard
Operator and Clerk -typist, be amended and reordained so that said
section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-63. Fire Department Telephone Operator & Clerk -
Clerical Specialist.
\,. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following
positions in the Fire Marshal's office, and the salary of each position
that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of

SECTION 13. That Section 10-65, Community development
department, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall hereafter read as follows:

SECTION 14. Under Section 10-51, Engineering Department, the
salary increase reflected for Engineering Drafting Assistant, effective
January 1, 1990, shall be retroactive to that date.
SECTION 15. This ordinance shall be read on two separate
days and will be published by title and a certified summary thereof.
