ORDINANCE NO. 90-9-4497
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN NORTH 3RD STREET, BROADWAY, MONROE
AND THE RIVER, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -
1976 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the
Paducah Planning Commission on August 20, 1990,
entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE
PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN NORTH 3RD STREET, BROADWAY, MONROE
AND THE RIVER", be approved as the final report of said
Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the
map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same
are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehen-
sive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the
following described property be, and it is hereby, changed
as follows:
B-3, General Business Zone, to B-2, Downtown
Business Zone
Beginning at a point in the intersection of North
3rd Street and Monroe Street, thence in a
southerly direction a distance of 658.67 feet plus
or minus to the center line of a 12 foot alley;
thence in an easterly direction a distance of
590.58 feet, plus or minus to the center line of a
16 foot alley; thence in a northerly direction a
distance of 293.56 feet, plus or minus to the
center line of Jefferson Street; thence in a
westerly direction a distance of 231.25 feet, plus
or minus; thence in a northerly direction a
distance of 371.50 feet; thence in a westerly
direction a distance of 374.49 feet to the point
of beginning.

Beginning at a point in the center line of
Broadway and a 16 foot alley if extended, thence
in an easterly direction a distance of 214.25
feet, plus or minus, to the center line of North

1st Street; thence along the center line of North
1st Street a distance of 410 feet, plus or minus,
to a point in the center line of Jefferson Street;
thence in a westerly direction a distance of 50
feet; thence northerly along the floodwall a
distance of 900 feet, more or less, to a point in
the center line of North 2nd Street; thence along
the center line of North 2nd Street to the center
line of Jefferson Street a distance of 850 feet;
more or less, thence in a easterly direction a
distance of 230 feet, plus or minus, to a point in
the center line of Jefferson Street; thence in a
southerly direction a distance of 430 feet, more
or less to the point of beginning.
M-1, Light Industrial Zone, to C-1, Conservancy
Zone
Beginning at a point on the north side of Madison
Street and the floodwall and along the floodwall a
distance of 900 feet more or less to the center
line of Jefferson Street; thence in an easterly
direction a distance of 165 feet to the property
line of the Ohio River; thence north along the
property line of the Ohio River to a point on the
north side of Madison Street and the property line
of the Ohio River, a distance of 860 feet, more or
less, thence in a westerly direction along the
north right-of-way line of Madison Street a
distance, of 290 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or
provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inopera-
tive, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency
or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall
not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof,
it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provi-
sions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
